How is holiday entitlement calculated in the UK?
Most regular-hours workers are entitled to 5.6 weeks of paid statutory holiday each year. A worker who works 5 days a week receives 28 days. A regular part-time worker receives the same 5.6 weeks on a pro-rata basis — for example, someone working 3 days each week receives 16.8 days. Statutory leave is capped at 28 days for workers who work more than 5 days a week. Employers may provide more leave than the statutory minimum.
