How is holiday entitlement calculated in the UK?
UK workers are entitled to 5.6 weeks of paid holiday per year under the Working Time Regulations 1998. For a full-time worker on 5 days per week this equals 28 days per year — the maximum statutory entitlement regardless of how many days per week you work. Part-time workers receive the same entitlement on a pro-rata basis. Your employer may offer more than the statutory minimum but cannot offer less.
